In a not so far away future, people will bond relationships with robots, bringing comfort and avoid isolation because of their companionship needs that are a rising problem in the actual society.
This 3d printed robotic hand it's connected to its user, performing mimicking movements of the person, reading the muscle signals (electromyographic data) of the person through a MYO armband which is filtered and classified to perform different movements of the hand, as well sensors in the tips of the fingers to avoid collisions.
Hardware used apart from the MYO EMG armband, a raspberry pi, Arduino as micro-controller and servo hat to control dc-motors. Software was programmed under python and such nodes run through ROS (Robot Operative System) under Linux. All the system works wirelessly with a powerbank for easy portability.
